Wow, can you all believe it’s August already? It seems as if it was just the beginning of July yesterday. Regardless of my inability to perceive time as of late, there have been a number of updates that I’d love to share with you all.
The Sentinel On Kickstarter!
As of August 9th, Isaac Willbanks and Matt Meloni’s stellar project, The Sentinel, has launched on Kickstarter. This Kickstarter is a big one for us over here at Epic Fantasy as it is a project that means the world to Isaac, being his love letter to superhero comics.
Our decision to launch the project on Kickstarter is a reasonable one: To continue the awesome adventures of our amnesiac hero, so that he may discover who he is again and become the hero he’s meant to be. Not only this, but placing a physical copy in your hands would validate the work we all have put in even more than anything in the world. This is a big risk we are taking, but we’d be fools not to try and get this funded in order to get it into print. Currently, we are just under $1k of our $3k funding goal and would love to get this project funded successfully, so please consider backing at the link below.

Other Fun Updates
Now that we’ve informed you of our current project, time for other cool stuff. Last time you heard from us, we had been waiting on colors to come back for Epic Fantasy #0. Well, fortunately for us, we got 4 pages back this week so far for one of the stories within this awesome comic. Check out a sneak peak at two of the four paged Omega Mage story with art by David Jaxon and colors from our friend A.H.G.
For those unfamiliar with A.H.G and his work, he’s one of the hottest new colorists in the comics scene and has worked on many great projects such as Broken Bear (Caliber Comics), Eat My Flesh, Drink My Blood (Dauntless Stories), Dark Blood (Image), and many more awesome projects. I had previously worked with him on a one page comic last year, and just knew he’d be a great fit for this particular story. As for David, I’d scoped his work for what seemed like forever, but always missed out on his commission windows. Fortunately for me, I happened to catch him right in time to create this beautiful pages for Omega Mage. David Jaxon is an extremely talented artist who’s work has been featured in numerous indie projects such as The Great Force, The Call Him Marvelous, and more.
Other than Epic Fantasy #0 updates, I’m hard at work putting together another project which was teased awhile back and it’s shaping up to be completed by the end of Q1 2023 — well barring any unforeseen delays. Along with that, both Isaac and I have been hard at work on projects outside of Epic Fantasy. As much as we love creating together, we still have projects that fall outside of this partnership such as Magni the Mighty (Band of Bards), which is my first ongoing comic series set to release in the next few months; while Isaac works with C.J Hudson on a super secret project. Gotta love the creative life, right?
Well, that’s all she wrote for this newsletter. Be sure to back our latest Kickstarter, The Sentinel and we will see you all again soon!
